About Me

My name is Jiayi from Henan Province of China. My major is visual communication design. This is my last year at the University of Canberra. My career plan is to be a graphic designer with a unique style.I am good at Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign,and I can use them proficiently.

The theme of this poster is the Traditional

Chinese festival "Dragon Boat Festival". I chose

green as the overall color, because Dragon Boat

Festival is the summer in China, and green can

better represent summer. Also, the traditional

food zongzi eaten during the Dragon Boat

Festival also has a green wrapper. I still chose

the circular main composition, this time I chose

to put the rice dumplings on the plate in the

center of the picture. I also created several

cartoon images of zongzi to be more vivid and

lovely. In China, dragon boat races are held on

Dragon Boat Festival. Therefore, I designed the

pattern on the left of the poster to be more like

the waves that people swing when boating, which

highlights the theme of the festival. The Dragon

Boat Festival is also a rainy season in China, so I

also created some lines like rain falling.

JOYTOWN's logo design is based on a house motif with some changes. The designer derived the letter J from the line on the right side of the house in the logo. The link between the line on the left and the line on the roof also forms the letter Y. The circle in the center of the pattern was chosen to represent the vitality of orange. The whole thing looks like an energetic young man or a doorbell. The whole logo integrates the elements of the brand name, and the pattern of the house also adds interest and vitality, which also echoes the brand's market positioning aimed at young people.The overall logo is more like the pattern of apartment, so that the whole feeling looks more warm, friendly and more in line with the brand's market positioning.

Real Estate Brand Image Design

 Brand Image Design

I choose to make this logo because the theme I want to make is probably related to eye products. The letter A on the logo is the first letter of my brand name, and the circle below is an eyeball-like shape that echoes the theme of the product I want to make. I added stars to the eyeball part, which also echoes the German 'Stern' in my brand name. The combination of letters and patterns became my final logo. In the final choice of color, I chose # 1E284E and # B38B1D as the main colors. The logo color symbolizes the deep blue of the vast night sky and the golden color of the twinkling stars. Because it is more in line with the bright feeling that I want to look like stars in my eyes, which is also the concept of my brand. As for the commercial logo, I chose to reverse the logo image into twosymmetrical eyes, which I think is more creative and fits my theme.

 Snack Guide Design

This is a snack guide to recent events at the University of Canberra, using the official University of Canberra colour palette throughout. Some event related vector graphics were created using Illustrator. The purpose of this design is to make it easier for participants to find the destination and time of the event.

On the back of the manual is a map of the University of Canberra. The specific locations of different events are marked on it to provide convenience for people to attend the activities.

Font Poster Design

This is a poster that has been designed with an analysis of the typeface Bodoni. Because of the long history of the typeface Bodoni, I chose a more vintage tone to look like an old library collection. The typography is also a logical layout of some of Bodoni's historical material.

 Snack Guide Design

This is a snack guide to recent events at the University of Canberra, using the official University of Canberra colour palette throughout. Some event related vector graphics were created using Illustrator. The purpose of this design is to make it easier for participants to find the destination and time of the event.

Experiential Graphic Design

This is a small application, QR code, Self-check kiosk prototype that I designed for the supermarket Aldi, a complete information-oriented system. Based on research to understand the needs of the customer and to develop a system that is useful for them and helps them to shop easily and quickly.

Information Graphic Design

This is my information graphic design based on data from a survey of all Australian schools. The overall colour palette is a vibrant trio of colours. The vector graphics were also chosen to match the style of the school. The bottom half of the poster is also laid out like a school book. The top half is a map of the school, which is often seen in schools.
